New Low Cost Bali to Lombok Flights Announced

Traveling between Bali and Lombok is about to get even easier, thanks to a new low-cost flight service set to launch this March.

Lion Air has announced a fresh domestic route connecting Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport with Lombok’s Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport, offering travelers a convenient and affordable way to hop between the two paradise islands.

More Flights, More Convenience

The new Lion Air Bali-Lombok service will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, catering to both tourists and business travelers.

Flights will depart Bali at 1:00 PM local time and arrive in Lombok at 1:30 PM, making it a quick and seamless journey. The return flight from Lombok will take off at 9:45 AM, landing in Bali at 12:15 PM, ensuring smooth connections for onward travel.

While ferry and fast boat services remain popular options, this new flight route provides a hassle-free alternative for those looking to maximize their time exploring the natural beauty of both destinations. Whether planning a surf trip, a weekend getaway, or a business visit, travelers now have more flexibility than ever.

Strengthening Bali-Lombok Tourism Links

Lombok has become an increasingly attractive destination for tourists seeking an escape from Bali’s bustling tourist hubs. With pristine beaches, world-class surfing in Selong Belanak and Gerupuk, and breathtaking landscapes like Mount Rinjani, the island offers an idyllic retreat.

Bali’s airport authorities are working closely with airlines to improve connectivity across Indonesia, ensuring easier access to must-visit destinations.

Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, recently emphasized the commitment to enhancing travel options, stating, “We continue to coordinate with stakeholders and airlines to expand routes that can improve accessibility.”

A Growing Trend of Domestic Travel

With the demand for inter-island travel on the rise, more domestic routes are expected to be introduced, further integrating Bali and Lombok into Indonesia’s growing tourism network.

This additional flight service is a welcome move for both frequent visitors and first-time travelers looking to experience the best of Bali and Lombok without the unpredictability of sea crossings.

For those planning their Indonesian adventure in 2025, flying between Bali and Lombok has never been more convenient. Whether you’re looking to explore Bali’s vibrant nightlife, discover Lombok’s serene beaches, or seamlessly connect the two, this new route offers an ideal solution.
